Employee Injured After Forcible Removal From Downtown Manhattan Office

Former Boucher & Crowe Consulting employee Benedict Rigby, 24, was seriously injured last Tuesday after being struck by a bus. Moments before, he was forcibly removed from the firm’s downtown Manhattan office.

According to several employees, Rigby had recently returned from a consulting assignment at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington DC and had since refused multiple work requests, repeatedly stating, “I prefer not to.” Sources claim supervisor Dave Casing had raised concerns about Rigby’s behaviour for weeks, to no response from upper management, before building security escorted him from the premises.

Rigby’s family says the recent college graduate had been “enthusiastic, hardworking, and deeply fond of literature,” and are now threatening legal action after discovering his employer-sponsored health insurance had lapsed several months earlier during internal staffing restructures. Boucher & Crowe Consulting declined to comment. Former coworkers described Rigby as increasingly withdrawn in recent weeks, though some noted he had become “strangely preoccupied” with historical materials collected during work at the client's hotel.
